Warranty Policy

WARRANTY RETURNS POLICY END USERS/DISTRIBUTORS/RESELLERS

All Hygeia electric breast pumps (except EnDeare) have a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of purchase on manufacturers defects on the suction mechanism. EnDeare electric pumps have a three (3) year limited warranty from the date of purchase on manufacturers defects on the suction mechanism. Certain customers negotiate in contracted terms to have varying warranties; if there is a contract in place it will supersede this warranty process. All other components including internal batteries, external batteries, care module and all accessories have a thirty (30) day warranty from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. All product issues must be evaluated by Hygeia Customer Care personnel over the telephone and require valid proof of purchase. Customers may contact Hygeia at (888) 786-7466 ext. 1 (International callers (714) 515-7571 ext. 1).

End User Returning Defective Product to Hygeia Process (under warranty): End user will contact Hygeia Customer Care personnel. Hygeia Customer Care personnel will first troubleshoot in an attempt to resolve the issue. If unable to resolve, the Customer Service personnel will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for the return of the defective product.
If the defective pump that is returned is less than thirty (30) days old (proof of purchase required), the end user will receive a new pump. If the defective product is more than thirty (30) days old (proof of purchase required), Hygeia reserves the right to send a like-new pump to end user. All returned products are subject to the results of Hygeia s final inspection. If Hygeia personnel deem the returned pump is defective due to improper use of the pump (i.e. using pump without filter and getting milk in the motor, pump was dropped or bumped, damaged in shipping), the end user will be subject to an evaluation fee along with shipping cost of both directions and additional service charges for the repair. Prior authorization on any major credit card is required on all RMA s. Failure to return the defective pump to Hygeia within seven (7) business days may subject the end user to a charge for not returning the product.

End User Shipping Repaired/Replaced Product: Standard UPS Ground or Standard USPS shipping costs for the return of defective product for repair will be the responsibility of Hygeia. Overnight delivery is available with the up-charge paid by the customer. Hygeia must receive the defective product within seven (7) business days of issued RMA. It is the customer s responsibility to package product being sent in for service appropriately so no damage will occur during transit. If Hygeia determines inadequate packaging was used and the product arrives damaged, the warranty will be null and void and the repair will be charged accordingly to the end user.

Distributors/Resellers Returning Defective Product to Hygeia Process (under warranty):
An RMA number must be obtained from Hygeia Customer Care to return defective product.
A restocking fee must be paid prior to return (no credit terms on restocking fees).
Freight is covered by the Dealer/Distributor/Reseller, meaning all costs and damage to product is the customer s responsibility.

Warranty Limitations: This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from any customer actions, such as mishandling or product abuse, improper interfacing, operation outside of design limits, misapplication, improper repair, or unauthorized modification. No other warranties are expressed or implied. Hygeia specifically disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose. Hygeia s liability shall be limited to the actual purchase price of any defective unit or units of equipment to which a claim is made, and shall in no event include the customer s lost profits or goodwill, or any other direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages whether based on contract, tort or other legal theory.
